Alaska Airlines Picks Up Another Diamond
FAA has given Alaska Airlines an eighth consecutive Diamond Award. The designation recognizes employee participation in the Aviation Maintenance Technician program, which started in 1991. For the sixth straight year, Alaska Airlines received special recognition noting that all mechanics participated in the program. Among the individual honorees are Patrick Durbin, lead aircraft technician, and Ray Bundrick, technical training instructor, who both received individual Diamonds for undertaking more than 100 hours of training during 2008.
