Boeing has secured an agreement to supply its airplane health management (AHM) system for Air China’s total fleet of 117 737NGs in service and on order. The system will gather and evaluate critical real-time in-flight flying condition data, and then relay the data to ground controllers. It will allow Air China to “turn a potentially time-consuming and costly maintenance delay into a well-planned and easily addressable repair,” according to
Boeing. "Air China will benefit with increased airplane availability, maintenance efficiency and economic performance," says Zhong Dechao, deputy chief engineer of Air China.
