AFI, KLM Launch Engine Support Firm

In partnership with Aviation Repair Technologies (ART), Air France Industries (AFI) and KLM Engineering & Maintenance have formed Turbine Support Intl (TSI), an engine joint venture. Based at ART’s complex at the Arkansas Aeroplex in Blytheville, TSI will disassemble, inspect and repair CF6-50, CF6-80 and CFM-56 engine parts. The Air France/KLM Group is the majority shareholder in the joint venture, which will supply the recertified parts for engine repair needs in the AFI/KLM aircraft fleet.
