The Aviation Designee Association (ADA), a new trade organization dedicated to representing FAA-appointed designees, is offering a three-month free trial with the unveiling of its new website. Membership is open to FAA designees, Designated Airworthiness Representatives (DARs), Designated Engineering Representatives (DERs), Designated Manufacturing Inspection Representatives (DMIRs) and holders of Organization Designation Authorization (ODA). Other interested parties can join ADA as well. Susan Fournier, a manufacturing and maintenance DAR who has been active in the aviation community for more than 30 years, including 10 years with FAA Flight Standards, will serve as managing director of the association. Fournier is founder of AeroPro. The ADA website will serve as a portal for regulatory updates, guidance, networking, job posting and various tools and resources.
