AAR Becomes Superjet Service Center

Wood Dale, Ill.-based AAR Corp. has signed a letter of intent to provide various maintenance and repair services for the Sukhoi Superjet 100. Heavy airframe work, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, modifications, interior and exterior refurbishments, line and RON maintenance will be available for Superjet 100 operators, as well as off-site support. AAR joins a network of MROs that will service the Superjet. Donald Wetekam, AAR’s group vice president for MRO, notes that operators can take advantage of other support services, including component and composite repair, landing gear overhaul, engineering services and supply chain management. First deliveries of the Superjet 100 are scheduled to begin in December 2009.
