Engine maker Rolls-Royce has unveiled its RR500, the latest member of its small engine line. Intended for turboprops, the engine is based on the RR300, which the company announced in 2007 to power the Robinson R66 helicopter. The RR500 will feature an electronic engine monitoring system and extended time between overhauls. Manufacturing will take place at the Rolls-Royce facility in Indianapolis, Ind.
