Lockheed Martin is planning to reduce its workforce in Greenville, S.C. by another 80–110 workers. The layoffs, scheduled to take effect in September, are in addition to around 60 positions eliminated at the military aircraft maintenance and modification facility in early July.
Lockheed Martin says it expects “increased stability” in 2009 resulting from new business with the U.S. government and international customers.
