AA Plans Mx Move to Tulsa

American Airlines has announced plans to transfer maintenance operations on Boeing 777 aircraft from Alliance Airport in Fort Worth, Texas to Tulsa Intl Airport in Oklahoma. Job cuts at the Fort Worth base will likely result from the move, but details on the number of workers have not been released. The carrier says it has not determined how to structure work among its three largest maintenance facilities in Fort Worth, Tulsa and Kansas City. According to the company’s VP of maintenance, reductions are planned at each of those three locations.
