Bell 412EP Gains JAR-OPS Approval

Texas-based Bell Helicopter has obtained Joint Aviation Regulations Operations (JAR-OPS) status from the European Aviation Safety Administration  (EASA). The 412EP has also completed EASA’s Joint Operation Evaluation Board catch-up process for JAR-OPS 3 compliance, which involves three aspects of helicopter operations—trained crew and support staff, safety equipment and flight procedures. To receive compliance, operators will be required to demonstrate the ability to equip and maintain a helicopter, crew recurrent training, and perform relevant takeoff and landing procedures.
