Baggage Handlers Beware!

Delta and American employees were apprehended and appeared in federal court on international drug smuggling and distribution charges. Drugs were hidden in luggage on international flights and then, according to allegations, the defendants used lookouts to watch for law officers. The DEA said the street value of the drugs is nearly $1 million for the cocaine, $1.1 for the heroin and $75,000 for ecstasy. Eighteen people, including 10 airline workers at N.Y’s JFK International Airport, appeared in court and seven of the suspects were Delta employees who are suspended without pay. For related news
