GE Announces Menu Directed Software for Visual Inspections

GE Inspection Technologies released a new menu directed inspection (MDI) software, a tool that guides Everest XLG3 VideoProbe users through the inspection process and auto-generates a report. MDI software can help save time, increase productivity for the end user and, according to GE, it provides a 35 to 70 percent time savings. With MDI context is automatically added to images that are captured during a visual inspection. The guided inspection reduces reporting errors, improves data flow for asset management, increases the speed and ease of sharing data and eliminates post inspection reporting with the click-to-report feature, which automatically creates and distributes an inspection report. MDI connects with GE's Rhythm software.
