Klein Tools Expands Line of Lightweight Lockback Pocket Knives

Klein Tools has added six new lightweight lockback pocket knives to its line of knives. Compact and durable, these new lockback knives fit comfortably in a pocket and open quickly and safely with one hand because of a textured thumb stud. The corrosion-resistant, premium quality multiple style blades are made from AUS 8 stainless steel and hardened to 58-59 Rc, providing long life. Lockback pocket knives (Cat. Nos. 4400-BLK and 40001-BLK) have 2-1/4" and 2-1/2" drop point blades, respectively. Black chrome blades and black anodized-aluminum handle provide resistance to corrosion. A reversible thumb stud provides easy, one-handed opening. Additional lockback pocket knife styles have anodized aluminum handles for corrosion resistance. The sheepfoot blade has a blade length of 2-5/8". The coping blade’s length is 2-1/2". The drop point and screwdriver blades are 2-1/2". A removable pocket/belt clip is included with all models, except for Model No. 44000-BLK, for easy access. Klein Tools, 800-553-4676, www.kleintools.com.

Fluke ScopeMeter 125 for Installing and Troubleshooting Field Buses

Fluke Corporation has announced the latest addition to the ScopeMeter 120 Series. With advanced features for installing and troubleshooting industrial network buses and electrical industrial machinery, the Fluke ScopeMeter 125 is designed to be an integrated all-purpose tool for service, maintenance and installation (SMI) engineers. The Fluke 125 ScopeMeter tool works with many industrial networks including AS-I bus, CAN-bus, Profibus, Foundation Fieldbus and Ethernet. It includes a bus health test feature, which enables users to quickly determine whether an industrial bus is working and helps identify the cause if it is not. In addition, the instrument can measure power, harmonics, motor winding resistance and motor effective voltage from a variable frequency drive controller, thus eliminating the need for expensive, more specialized test equipment. Fluke ScopeMeter 120 Series tools integrate oscilloscope, true-RMS digital multimeter and dual-input "paperless" recorder in one instrument. The ScopeMeter 120 Series instruments are 600 V CAT III safety certified for machinery, instrumentation, control and power systems. The Fluke 125 has all the features of the Fluke 123 and 124 ScopeMeters and in addition to the bus health test, it also takes (Vpwm) voltage measurements of motor drive output, has 0.01 ohm resolution on the 50 ohms range for testing motor windings, and is capable of measuring power and harmonics over a wide frequency range. Get Support from Ergonomic Sit-Stand Stool

Work on your feet? Try Lyon’s ergonomically designed Sit-Stand Stools. Sit-Stand Stools allow users to work in an upright standing position with their weight partially supported on a padded seat. Taking a load off workers’ legs and feet dramatically relieves fatigue, boosts productivity. A patent-pending mechanism allows easy height adjustment by simply lifting the front of the seat and sliding it up or down to the desired height — then pushing the seat front down to relock it in place. The ergonomically designed padded seat swivels 16° in either direction, returns to center automatically. Seat also tilts forward 20° while seat height is infinitely adjustable from 22 ¾" to 33 ¾" to accommodate workers of different heights. Triangular base allows close proximity to work. The new Lyon Sit-Stand has a 250 lb. capacity. Lyon Workspace Products, 800-323-0096, www.lyonworkspace.com.

New Limited Fire Hazard Tie-On Cable Markers Are Cost-Effective

Tyco Electronics Corporation has a new line of non-adhesive, low-cost tie-on cable markers — HLX-NEL. These new cable markers are designed for use with the company’s budget T200 printer. The new, cost-effective tie-on cable markers come in a narrow edge leading in-line format and are made of zero halogen material. "The limited fire hazard attributes of HLX-NEL make the markers suitable for use in trackside, industrial, offshore and construction applications where smoke and toxic fume emissions can cause a hazard to human life or equipment," stated Michael Rielly, Tyco Electronics product manager. "The HLX-NEL tie-on cable markers are also RoHS compliant and meet MIL-STD-202 and SAE-AS81531 requirements," Rielly said. The latest in-line cable markers are designed for an operating temperature range from -40 degrees F to +221 degrees F (-40 degrees C to +105 degrees C) and are offered in white or yellow. New Electric Screwdrivers By ASG

Two new torque-controlled low voltage DC screwdrivers have been announced by ASG, a division of Jergens, Inc. The new Torq2 TL-6500 and TL-3000 drivers are for precision assembly work, their clutches automatically stopping when a pre-set torque is reached, eliminating over-and under-tightening. The drivers are lightweight, about 12 oz. versus comparable tools that are up to twice the weight, helping to reduce operator fatigue. Torques are easily adjustable by tightening or loosening the torque-adjusting nut. Torques can be set between 1.5 lbf.in and 17 lbf.in for the TL-6500 and between.25 lbf.in and 4.0 lbf.in for the TL-3000. The tools can be operated at either the high or low speed settings when connected to ASG’s recently-introduced PS-55 power supply. The TL-6500 will operate at 700 or 500 RPM; the TL-3000 at 1000 or 700 RPM. ASG, 216-486-6163, www.asg-jergens.com.
