Michael Sanders is Unison Industries’s new vice president of engineering. Sanders is now responsible for all U.S. and global design engineering, test and certification, and configuration management activities for Unison. Most recently, Sanders served as an integral member of the Unison/GE engineering integration team following GE Engine Services’s acquisition of Unison in April 2002.

 

West Star Aviation has named three sales managers with airframe-specific knowledge and experience who will work closely with technical representatives and project managers from the company’s main facility in Grand Junction, Colorado. Bill Prescott is to manage maintenance sales for Hawkers and Falcons. He has 21 years of GA maintenance and customer service experience and holds A&P certificates. Wayne O’Hara is to manage Conquest, Caravan, King Air, and other turboprop maintenance sales. He holds A&P certificates and has worked for West Star for 27 years. Doug Thompson is the new Citation sales manager. He has been with West Star since 1989, initially managing the company’s military contract business and more recently focusing on Citation airframes.

T.J. Reeves has joined Dassault Falcon Jet’s service center in Wilmington, Delaware as director of operations. He will be responsible for aircraft maintenance and modifications, including paint, cabinets, upholstery and avionics. A 20-year veteran aviation maintenance engineer with the U.S. Marine Corps, Reeves was most recently a program manager at Science Applications International Corporation, where he supervised a 200-person engineering team providing research, development, test, and evaluation and engineering support services for U.S. Navy and Marine aircraft, aircraft missile systems, and precision-guided munitions.

Tronair has appointed Ronald A. Klotz as president and CEO. He has served in executive positions at Cessna Aircraft, Butler Aviation International, and the Pinnacle Air Network, and has owned several FBOs and an independent aviation consulting business. Holland, Ohio-based Tronair is a developer, manufacturer, and global marketer of aviation ground support equipment.

Lee H. Whitley has been named president of HighTech Finishing, the supplier of corporate aviation decorative metal plating based in Houston, Texas. Formerly executive vice president and general manager, he succeeds company owner Carl A. Bartuch Jr., who has become chief executive officer.
