Cessna has promoted Bill Collier to VP of Citation Parts Distribution. His responsibilities include managing the company’s global spare parts support and distribution facilities. Collier holds a green belt certification in Cessna parent company Textron’s Six Sigma program.
Jet Aviation has appointed Christof Späth as senior VP and head of maintenance for its EMEA & Asia organization. The hire is part of an overall plan to restructure EMEA & Asia, with Späth leading the maintenance division, Norbert Marx in charge of completions and Jürg Reuthinger managing the aircraft services line of business.
Andy Plyler is the new VP of Hawker Beechcraft Services (HBS). His responsibilities will include oversight of all HBS operations and maintaining customer satisfaction programs.
Bombardier has named Tim Lakata director of Learjet sales in the northeast U.S. for its Business Aircraft division in Hartford, Conn. He will oversee all Learjet sales in 12 states and the District of Columbia.
Los Angeles-based Mercury Air Group has hired David A. Herbst as executive VP of corporate strategies. Herbst, who had worked for Mercury in the early 1990s as director of corporate relations, comes from MWW Group, where he was senior VP and general manager.
StandardAero has appointed Mike R. Turner as avionics sales manager supporting its teams based in Tucson, Ariz. He comes from Bombardier, where he was regional avionics sales manager.
Sumi Fonseka has taken over as general manager of Gulfstream’s service center at the London-Luton Airport in England. He will be responsible for daily operations at Luton and serve customers in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. A 10-year employee of Gulfstream, Fonseka was previously senior hangar operations manager at the company’s south service center in Savannah, Ga.
