Lufthansa Technik subsidiary Shannon Aerospace has named Muriel Fenton quality assurance manager at its MRO facility in Shannon, Ireland. She was previously quality assurance engineer, and received the designation of "certified quality engineer" from the American Society of Quality in 2006.
Daniel Tennant is the new general manager of the Turkish Engine Center, a joint venture of Pratt & Whitney and Turkish Airlines Technic that will open in the second half of 2009. Tennant has worked for Pratt & Whitney since 1976, most recently serving as system development and demonstration program manager for the F135 engine, which powers the F-35 Lightning II.
Flight Display Systems of Alpharetta, Ga., has appointed Joe Little as VP, research and development. He comes from LOFA Industries, where he was senior design engineer in charge of developing microcontroller-based electronics.
AAR’s board of directors has elected Donald Wetekam as an officer. He serves as the group VP of the company’s maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) segment. Prior to joining AAR, Wetekam was deputy chief of staff for installations and logistics in the U.S. Air Force, and previously directed operations at Warner Robins Air Logistics Center.
Lincoln, Mass.-based Avidyne Corp. has hired two new sales reps, Leslie Fischer (L) and Jeremy Cunningham. Fischer, who comes from Pfizer, will serve as regional sales manager for the western U.S. Cunningham’s territory is the northeastern U.S.
The Eastern Pennsylvania Business Journal awarded Stanley Engineered Storage Solutions President and General Manager Jim Cannon with its Executive Spotlight Award in October. Under Cannon’s leadership, Vidmar’s revenue has increased by more than 100 percent.
