Pneumatics - Thrust-Tech Opens New Pneumatics Facility
Thrust-Tech Aviation, a company specializing in the overhaul, repair, and functional test of components, has completed its new pneumatics test facility in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. The new facility will specialize in providing pneumatic maintenance support for new-generation business and regional jets. This new capability is in addition to the company’s present electronic, hydraulic, and starter/generator capability. Some specific components recently added are engine-driven and standby hydraulic pumps, thrust reverser pneumatic drive units, APU starters, and pneumatic flow control valves to support these markets.
Thrust-Tech currently has capability of close to 1,000 different line items with 10 percent of that being added in the last 12 months, specifically to target regional and commuter aircraft as well as new generation business jets.
Thrust-Tech said it has invested heavily in inventory and equipment to support its new capability and the quick turns demanded by the aerospace industry. One large investment is its new, modern 15,000 square foot facility.
