GE Inspection Technologies’s XLG3 Videoprobe
GE Inspection Technologies’s comprehensive selection of remote viewing equipment includes basic borescopes and fiberscopes, measurement-capable digital video borescopes, pan-tilt-zoom camera systems and robotic crawler systems. These systems are portable and ruggedly built to survive the rigors of aerospace environments.
The XLG3 VideoProbe is a portable workstation that significantly improves inspection capabilities, increases productivity in operations and delivers versatility for efficient and accurate decision-making. Constructed from lightweight aluminum with chemical resistant bumpers, it travels safely to any remote location. Inspectors can create inspection reports on the XLG3 and immediately e-mail them with image data, write files to a CD or DVD in real time or save images to a flash drive. From aircraft engines to small pipes and large cavities, the XLG3 system illuminates challenging inspections with twice the light output as previous generation VideoProbe systems, delivering sharp, clear images for faster defect identification.

Karl Storz Industrial-America Inc. TechnoPack X
TechnoPack X is the first RVI system to incorporate a laser measuring system. The LaserTrue can provide measurement on demand, with "no tip change" required. Just turn it, freeze and measure. The measurements are displayed on the screen and can be stored with the image and transferred to a desktop or burned onto a disc with its built-in CD burner. The TechnoPack X has twice the viewing capability, compared to the traditional stereo images. The United States Air Force has qualified and approved the TechnoPack X for inspections and repairs. This unit is portable and can be rolled right to the flight line. Everything is stored and connected in the case, ready to use. With Clearview technology, this unit maximizes image resolution and delivers large, full-screen images. This unit can process and store up to six-and-a-half hours of live mpeg video, utilizing a fast processor and 20 gig hard drive.

Olympus’s IPLEX FX Videoscope System
In 2007, Olympus introduced the latest generation of IPLEX videoscope systems, the IPLEX FX — the industry’s most compact, full-featured video borescope, combining portability and military ruggedness with a complete set of advanced videoscope features.
The IPLEX FX is complete with all the features that are necessary for the aviation maintenance professional — vivid and clear live-view images; TrueFeel scope articulation for maneuverability inside engines; still image and video recording to internal and removable recording media; and three-dimensional defect measurement at any target angle. An IPLEX FX LED lasts more than 30x longer than standard metal-halide lamps — virtually eliminating the need for costly and untimely bulb replacements. The IPLEX FX is also the first videoscope in the world to be MIL-STD 810F compliant withstanding repetitive four-foot drop tests and resistance to rain, dust, sand and other environmental conditions. With a sealed, magnesium alloy chassis and protective rubber bumpers, the mechanically stronger design adds durability for lower frequency of repairs and lower cost of ownership.
