Stainless Steel Abrasives Kit

A new kit that includes three types of specialty abrasive wheels for grinding, blending and cutting stainless steel using a right angle grinder is being introduced by Rex-Cut Products, Inc. of Fall River, Mass. The Rex-cut Stainless Steel Kit includes four thin-profile, 0.045" thick Alpha-Green cut-off wheels that cut pipe, rod or tube faster and cooler than thicker conventional wheels; a Sigma-Green grinding wheel that removes heavy welds; and a cotton-fiber blending and finishing wheel that leaves a 32 RMS or better finish. These Type 27 wheels are all 4½" diameter. The Rex-cut Stainless Steel Kit Alpha-Green cut-off wheel features a resinoid bonding system with 46 grit aluminum oxide abrasives. The Sigma-Green grinding wheel is made from a zirconia and ceramic grain with a proprietary bonding for chatter-free cutting action, and the cotton-fiber blending wheel reveals fresh abrasives as it works. Special Effect Aircraft Coatings Brings New Design Options

A new range of special effect coatings, which provide airlines and aircraft livery designers with an unprecedented choice of colors and design options, is available from Akzo Nobel Aerospace Coatings (ANAC). Designers can select from mica-based finishes or iridescent/interference finishes. Mica-based finishes are offered in satin, crystal, and diamond effects and provide a sparkling, metallic-look finish that can appear silk-like, smooth and shimmery (satin), a subtle glitter (crystal) or sparkling (diamond). There are two topcoat ranges with identical end results: one approved by Boeing and one by Airbus. Special colors, to match or create corporate identities, can be supplied quickly to order. Iridescent or interference finishes provide a completely different visual experience. These coatings change the color of an aircraft, depending on the lighting and the viewing angle. An aircraft can, for example, appear royal blue from one viewpoint, and purple from another. Iridescent effects are a distinctive way to combine colors for an unusual, eye-catching finish. ANAC’s special effect paints are made from quality materials to help ensure the selected finish maintains the desired appearance and effect. The high solids formula creates a coating that emits reduced amounts of harmful solvents with the added benefit that fewer coats are needed to achieve the required result. KCF Filters Out Oil And Contaminants For Safe Disposal

Compressed air condensate disposal is a major environmental concern. This oil/water mixture is classified as hazardous waste and cannot be discharged into municipal wastewater systems unless the oil and contaminants are removed. The Kaeser Condensate Filter (KCF) is designed to filter out oil and other contaminants making the water safe for disposal. The key to the KCF function is the three-stage, self-contained plastic filter cartridge, which is convenient for replacement and disposal. There are no filter bags.
