It’s late in the year and time for the staff here at Aviation Maintenance to begin assembling our annual Repair Center Directory. And we need your help.
Every year, the Repair Center Directory is published in January. The Repair Center Directory is a comprehensive listing of companies that provide maintenance, repair, overhaul, and other services to the aviation aftermarket. The many companies listed in the Repair Center Directory offer services to the commercial, business jet, military, and general aviation segments. Services include heavy inspection, major structural repair, paint, composites repair, component overhaul, avionics installation and repair, light aircraft maintenance, interiors, and even maintenance services for the sport aviation community.
This year, you can now view and search the Aviation Maintenance Repair Center Directory on the web, at www.directorypub.com/am. This fantastic new service, managed and hosted by Aviation Maintenance’s database provider Directory Publishing, makes the Repair Center Directory immediately accessible to anyone with web access.
The best part is that you can now add and update your company’s Repair Center Directory listing online. If you wish, the fill-in-the-blanks form is still available, as a downloadable Adobe pdf file from the website listed above. But it’s much easier to simply click on the link at the bottom of the initial page and add your company’s information, or update it if some of the information has changed.
Currently, the search engine enables searching by company name, location, and FAA Repair Station rating. We’ll be working on enhancements to the search capability, including adding more information about each company, in the future.
As always, companies in the Repair Center Directory can purchase an enhanced listing for the printed version, which can include a color logo and text describing the company’s capabilities.
We need your help to make the Repair Center Directory the most accurate and useful directory of aircraft maintenance providers. Your company’s basic listing is FREE. That’s right, there is no cost to add your company to the Repair Center Directory, as long as it is a provider of aircraft maintenance services. If your company is in the aircraft maintenance business, whether or not it is certificated by the local regulatory authority, we want your company in the Repair Center Directory.
There are two ways to add your company to the Repair Center Directory: 1. Go to www.directorypub/am and click on the link at the bottom of the page, where it says "Enhance-/Update/Add My Listing Online." Or, click the link just above that to download the Adobe pdf file, print a clean copy, write your company’s information in the spaces provided, then fax it back to the number on the form.
If you want, you can e-mail us at am@pbimedia.com and ask for the pdf form and we’ll send it directly to you.
If your company has multiple bases that provide maintenance services, please make sure to fill in the form for each facility. It doesn’t matter if they operate under the same or separate FAA Repair Station certificates, or even if they don’t have a Repair Station certificate. As long as maintenance is provided, those are the companies we want in the Repair Center Directory.
It’s up to you to make sure your company is listed. While we do send out mailings every year to get companies to update their Repair Center Directory information, many of the mailings do not get to the right person at each organization. Now you have the opportunity to make sure your company gets the attention it deserves in the Aviation Maintenance Repair Center Directory, which will be published in January 2004. Please take advantage of this excellent opportunity.
