In January, Triumph Group purchased Boeing’s Spokane Fabrication Operation. On April 2, MaryLou Thomas, former director of operations of the Boeing facility, was named president of the new company, now named Triumph Composite Systems. A certified lean manufacturing leader, Thomas has worked for Boeing since 1990, most recently as general manager of the Spokane facility, which manufactures composite floor panels, flight control decks, and air ducting systems.

Corporate Rotable & Supply recently hired Karin Muller to develop a new CRS international facility in Farnborough, U.K. Muller’s job includes providing sales support as well as customer service to operators worldwide. Muller comes to CRS with a background in sales and support for regional and corporate with companies such as Bombardier, GE Capital, and AAR.

Jon Moldovan, Sr. was promoted to director of aircraft certifications, engineering & modifications at Stevens Aviation. A seven-year Stevens Aviation employee, Moldovan graduated with honors from the U.S. Army Primary and Basic Non-commissioned Officers Academy and the U.S. Army Fixed-Wing Maintenance School. Before joining Stevens Aviation, Moldovan worked for Raytheon Aerospace.

Standard Aero has appointed Greg Young as vice president of Standard Aero (Alliance). Young was vice president of Standard Aero’s Tilburg, Netherlands facility, which specializes in Pratt & Whitney Canada PW100 engine repair and overhaul. Young is a degreed graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and served in the U.S. Army Air Corps as a pilot and maintenance manager.
