From The Trenches

Stevens Aviation announced the promotion of three individuals to its management team. Don Doty has been named general manager of Stevens's Donaldson Center in Greenville, South Carolina. Hiott Daves has been promoted to director of military operations and Mike Fitzgerald (See Postflight page 46) has been promoted to director of maintenance.

Phillip Haddad has joined Van Isle as a service and technical sales specialist. He was most recently at Western Express Airlines as a purchasing/maintenance planner, and worked for Aviall Services prior to that. Haddad also holds an A & P mechanic certificate.

Mike Harkins, director of maintenance of Aero Taxi in New Castle, Delaware and president of the First State Chapter of PAMA, has received the Philadelphia Aircraft Maintenance Technician of the Year award.

Linda McGeary has joined the board of directors of the Association for Women in Aviation Maintenance. Linda works for Pratt & Whitney, East Hartford, Connecticut, as the customer training center's student administrator.

Paul Theofan has been appointed vice president of marketing and sales for Unison Industries. He has been with Unison for 19 years, most recently as OEM sales director. Unison also announced that Ken Jacobs was promoted to service center manager for the Jacksonville, Florida facility. Jacobs has been with Unison for 20 years. In addition, Kevin Love was appointed to the position of tubing, ducting, and brackets engineering manager for Unison's Dayton, Ohio facility.
