Rick Hollandsworth is the new TFE731 engine operations manager for Premier Turbines. A certificated A&P mechanic with more than 20 years of aviation experience in maintenance and management positions, Hollandsworth will oversee the company’s Honeywell TFE731 major periodic inspection program. Most recently. he served as director of technical services for Trans World Express.

Soundair Repair Group has promoted Greg Harwood to group vice president. An FAA repair station offering component repair support to airlines, Boeing Commercial Airplanes and other OEMs, Soundair is headquartered in Woodinville, Washington.

The FAA 2003 Avionics Maintenance Technician of the Year for the South Carolina district is James Altenbern of Stevens Aviation’s Donaldson Center in Greenville, South Carolina. The award is given annually for excellence in avionics maintenance and outstanding community contribution at the district, regional and national levels.

Garrett Aviation has named as its new president Frank Klaus, the former regional general manager, America Sales, for GE Aircraft Engines. A 35-year veteran of that company, he served as the resident engineering manager at Rolls-Royce during GE’s collaboration on the CF6 program, and later helped build the CF34 engine program into one of GEAE’s most successful platforms.

The General Aviation Manufacturers Association has hired Jens C. Hennig as manager of operations, responsible for safety programs and statistical research and analysis. A native of Ôrnskîldsvik, Sweden, Hennig previously managed Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s satellite flight training facility.
