IS-BAO for Dassault Falcon
Dassault Falcon's Teterboro flight operations department recently achieved International Standard for Business Aviation Operations (IS-BAO) registration.
New Qantas Parts Center
Qantas opened a $55 million material and logistics distribution center located in Sydney. The 188,000 square foot facility will house components for the Qantas fleet and features a high-rise miniload automated storage and retrieval system.
New ASSB Repair Center
Airfoil Services Sdn. Bhd. (ASSB) broke ground on its aircraft airfoil services center in Kota Damansara, Malaysia recently. ASSB, an MTU Aero Engines and Lufthansa Technik affiliate, is expecting operations to start at the facility in early 2007. ASSB will be repairing high-pressure compressor blades in addition to the low-pressure turbine blades it already repairs.
Embraer Selects Interturbine
Embraer has selected the Interturbine Group of Companies for after-sales support as its preferred source for chemicals and consumable materials.
Stevens Authorized for SJ30
Sino Swearingen Aircraft announced the selection of Stevens Aviation as the first North American Authorized Service facilities for the SJ30-2.
Bell MRO Opens
Bell Helicopter officially opened its new 82,000 square foot repair and overhaul center at the end of March. The Ft. Worth, Texas facility will handle repair and overhaul of transmissions, rotating controls, rotor hubs, gearboxes, and rotor blades on all of Bell's U. S. military platforms.
Lufthansa to Complete A318s
Airbus has signed a contract with Lufthansa Technik for the cabin-outfitting of the A318 Elites, a corporate jet version of the A318.
KLM uk Engineering Contracts with TNT
TNT Airways signed a 5-year exclusive contract for heavy maintenance on their BAe 146 fleet with KLM uk Engineering. KLM uk Engineering is a daughter company of KLM Engineering and Maintenance.
New Facility for Cabin Audio Maker Alto
Alto Aviation expanded and moved to a new 14,000 square foot corporate headquarters and manufacturing facility in Leominster, Massachusetts. Alto will design and produce cabin audio systems at the facility.
Habco's Muschett Honored
Kristin Muschett, CEO of Habco, Inc. was a finalist in the Connecticut Technology Council's Women of Innovation Awards for her work designing and manufacturing aviation testing and ground support equipment. Under Muschett's leadership, Habco has grown 50 percent in three years.
ST Aerospace Signs $12.5M Contract
ST Aerospace has signed a five-year agreement, worth $12.5 million, with an unnamed Asian airline. The agreement covers components management and maintenance support for the airline's fleet of 13 Airbus A320s over the five-year contract period.

Praxair Surface Technologies is offering non-destructive testing on the fan hub assembly of the Pratt & Whitney JT8D-200 series engines as a response to AD 2005-18-02.
ACP to Provide Starters
Unison's wholly owned subsidiary, Aircraft Parts Corp. has been selected by Bell Helicopter to provide starter-generators for the Bell 417 and 429 helicopters. The contracts have a potential value of more than $6 million over the 10-year life of the program.

Precision Contracts for Conversions
Precision Conversions has signed an agreement with Corporacion Ygnus Air, S. A. for a B757-200PCF freighter conversion. The contract also calls for an option on one more. Precision also received recent contracts for three other B757-200PCF conversions for Cargo Aircraft Management, and Ethiopian Airlines.
KLM Quick Turns D-Check
KLM Engineering and Maintenance was able to complete a D-check including full strip and paint on a four week D-check schedule for Phillipine Airlines.

SSA Global announced that the Boeing Company has contracted with them to use their SSA ERP application suite as the enterprise resource planning solution for the Boeing Commercial Airplane business unit.
Landmark's AAC to Complete 10th ACJ
Associated Air Center, a Landmark Aviation company, signed an agreement recently to complete its tenth Airbus Corporate Jet. The aircraft will be completed for a customer based in Asia.
IAI's Bedek to Supply Kits to Qantas
Israel Aircraft Industries' Bedek Aviation Group will supply Qantas Airways with B737-300 passenger-to-freighter conversion kits and technical support for four aircraft. The B-737-300s will be converted in-house by Qantas using Bedek's STC.
Newly Formed Waypoint Partners
Michael Sowa, Kenneth Murray, and Robert Liddell have formed Waypoint Partners to facilitate and manage implementation of technologies on business aircraft. The company says, "The successful design and execution of a new-aircraft project or high-end refurbishment project is critical to retaining an aircraft's long-term value." Waypoint will also provide pre-purchase monitoring, aircraft acquisition consultation, operational startup assistance and vendor mediation.
CAE to Maintain JetBlue Simulators
CAE was awarded a contract by JetBLue Airways for the maintenance of full-flight simulators and other training devices at JetBlue's new training center in Orlando, Florida. Under the terms of the five-year contract, CAE will maintain four Airbus A320 full-fllight simulators, two Embraer 190 simulators, and six flight training devices.

Crane to Make New A330/340 Door System
Crane Aerospace & Electronics has been selected by Airbus to provide a new generation door and slide control system for the A330/340 to monitor the position of the passenger and cargo doors. The first deliveries of the new system are anticipated in 2007.
ST Aerospace Completes Acquisition
Singapore Technologies Engineering and its aerospace arm, ST Aerospace, completed the 67 percent acquisition of SAS Component in March.
Weldcraft Moves to Wisconsin
Weldcraft completed a move of their world headquarters from Burbank, California to Appleton, Wisconsin earlier this year. The move allows Weldcraft to align product research and development with Miller Electric, another subsidiary of parent company Illinois Tool Works.
B/E Aerospace Expands

Lufthansa Technik and Japan Transocean Air (JTA) have an agreement for Lufthansa to provide technical support for JTA's 23-ship Boeing 737-400 fleet over the next five years.
AFI Selected by South African Technical
