Jet Aviation Basel to Expand Hangar, Ramp Space

Jet Aviation Basel will invest approximately $27 million to add over 333,000 square feet of hangar, shop, and ramp space within the next 18 months. This facility will be an extension of the company's six current hangars. In addition, airport authorities have approved the development of the south zone of the airport, which will allow Jet Aviation Basel to build another widebody hangar, to be completed in the first half of 2008.

That hangar will be large enough to accommodate aircraft up to the size of the Airbus A380 and Boeing 747-8, and is expected to be completed by the first half of 2008. Construction of a $3.1 million, 35,736 square foot hangar that can accommodate a widebody aircraft up to the size of an Airbus 330/340 or Boeing 767 will begin soon, with completion date expected in February 2007.
