Heli-One’s Sikorsky S-76B upgrade program is now complete. The program put in place a Universal Avionics, which said that testing is imminent for the aircraft.
The upgraded cockpit includes three EFI-890H flight displays with synthetic vision and a UNS-1Fw satellite-based FMS. The tech also includes an enhanced ground proximity warning system to help safeguard against the possibility of collisions with terrain in inclement weather.
No expected date has been provided for the completion of testing for the upgraded 76B.
