Actuarial firm Willis Towers Watson launched a cyberinsurance subsidiary aimed at the general aviation industry Feb. 26 at Heli-Expo 2018 in Las Vegas.

Willis Towers Watson Aerospace Cyber Guard, which the company developed in conjunction with Berkley Cyber Risk Solutions is available to North American-based companies through subsidiaries of W.R. Berkley Corporation. Willis said that it is filling “potential coverage gaps” in aviator insurance programs by offering such coverage to tour operators, charter companies and tour clubs which take on currently uninsured risk by relying on technology.
