The Italian Air Navigation Service Provider, ENAV, and the International Air Transport Association have agreed to work together to develop and implement a national airspace strategy for Italy.

Air transport contributes approximately $53 billion to Italy’s GDP and supports nearly 600,000 jobs, the numbers of which are expected to grow significantly, according to IATA. In light of this, the groups say they aim to work with Italian aviation stakeholders and authorities to pursue Single European Sky goals, prioritizing customer satisfaction while modernizing technical systems and improving ATM to reduce costs and ensure safety.
