Honeywell has received an FAA supplemental type certificate for Bombardier’s Global Express business jets. Those aircraft can now fly with Primus Elite cockpit offerings, the company said.

Upgrades include new liquid crystal displays and cockpit software that give pilots access to Honeywell’s SmartView Synthetic Vision System, the company said. It provides a 3-D color image of runways, terrain and obstacles.

“This upgrade gives current Bombardier Global Express jet owners, using a Primus Elite cockpit, new software and hardware features that enable pilots to be more aware of their surroundings, while increasing safety,” Honeywell said.
