Satcom Direct and ForeFlight have introduced a new integrated data solution, Satcom Direct said. The product is for joint Satcom Direct Router and ForeFlight Performance customers.
The router can now be used as a GPS data source to depict aircraft ownship position on ForeFlight’s moving map display. Additional GPS hardware is not needed. When ForeFlight is connected to the router’s Wi-Fi, customers can also receive and display high-resolution radar, icing, turbulence, winds aloft and other graphical weather layers.
