CAE has tapped Rockwell Collins for a Pilatus PC-21 simulator display system for the French Air Force, Rockwell Collins said. This is part of the Air Force’s Formation Modernisée et Entrainment Différencie des Equipages de Chase (FOMEDEC) training program. CAE awarded Rockwell Collins a subcontract.

Rockwell Collins is to provide two Spectraview visual display systems, as well as spares, and operations and maintenance training.

“This collaborative international program taps into the strengths of each team member and will provide French Air Force pilots with a highly realistic and reliable training environment to prepare them for any mission,” said Lee Obst, managing director for Rockwell Collins in Canada.
