Thomas Cook Group, as a whole, is now a customer for Honeywell’s GoDirect Fuel Efficiency software, Honeywell said. The product can provide the airline with data analysis, reporting and monitoring tools for its fleet.

“As the aviation industry continues to focus on reducing fuel use, dedicated fuel management software is critical for airlines to optimize the operational efficiency of their fleets,” said David Shilliday, Honeywell’s VP of airlines in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and India. “With the busy summer travel season rapidly approaching, we are working closely with Thomas Cook Airlines Scandinavia to help it increase its fuel-saving initiatives and identify opportunities for more efficient travel, such as pre-planning flights and taking shorter routes.”

Thomas Cook Airlines Scandinavia, based in Copenhagen, originally signed on for GoDirect Fuel Efficiency software for its fleet of 14 aircraft. After success with the product, Thomas Cook Group began utilizing it across its fleet of 94 total aircraft.
