The Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) is implementing new aeronautical information management technology. Under a contract for a network upgrade issued in September 2016, Frequentis and TAJ Systems will provide a data-centric Aeronautical Information Management solution compliant to ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) standards.

Frequentis and TAJ Systems will provide an upgrade of RSAF’s aeronautical fixed telecommunication network and new aeronautical message handling services. The upgrade is designed to provide enhanced Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) management, operational meteorological (OPMET), as well as database and military approval flight-planning capabilities. The new infrastructure will be fully virtualized and data-centric.
