Textron AirLand has selected a new head-up display (HUD) system, BAE Systems’ LiteHUD, to support the flight-testing program for its multi-mission Scorpion jet. In two years of flight operations, according to Textron AirLand, the Scorpion jet has deployed to 10 countries and amassed more than 800 flight hours through military training exercises.

Textron AirLand made the selection initially to support a what it calls a “robust flight test program” associated with the Scorpion, but has not released any further details about the LiteHUD.

LiteHUD includes a built-in color camera and the latest optical waveguide technology.
