Azul to Add Thales FMS, TCAS to A320s

[Avionics Magazine 01-12-2017] Brazilian carrier Azul is adding new Flight Management Systems (FMS) and Traffic Collision Avoidance System (TCAS) technology to a fleet of 58 Airbus A320 new engine option (A320neo) aircraft. 
 
According to details released by Thales, under the agreement, Azul’s A320s will also be equipped with Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) transponders and Emergency Locator Transmitters (ELT). 
 
The agreement with Azul is the latest in a series of contract signings that occurred in 2016 for Thales in Latin America.
