[Avionics Magazine 1-3-2017] Airborne Maintenance and Engineering Services Inc. has acquired PEMCO World Air Services Inc., said Airborne Maintenance and Engineering parent Air Transport Services Group Inc. The company did not assume any debt from PEMCO related to the acquisition. It is expected to gradually increase earnings for Air Transport Services, starting this year.

Both Airborne Maintenance and Engineering and PEMCO offer maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services. They are set to be combined and offered worldwide as part of Air Transport Services’ set of solutions. PEMCO completes conversions as well as MRO services for Boeing, Airbus and McDonnell Douglas aircraft, which expands Air Transport Services’ ability to provide services to customers of its expanding fleet of Boeing 767 cargo aircraft.
