[Avionics Magazine 11-30-2016] Bell Helicopter’s Training Academy is set to receive avionics bench training systems for the Bell 407GX and the Bell 412EPI from Tru Simulation + Training Inc., Tru said. Bell expects delivery next summer.

The Bell 407GX avionics suite is a Garmin G1000H system. On the trainer, users are able to practice maintenance techniques with line replaceable units and learn about platform messages and equipment. A Rogerson Kratos avionics system is featured in the Bell 412EPI. That trainer also gives users operation and maintenance practice.

Bell said it expects to purchase more maintenance trainers through its Textron Inc. parent. The manufacturer has been offering training services for more than 65 years and currently offers pilot, first responder, offsite, specialty and technical courses.
