[Avionics Magazine 11-22-2016] Orbit Technologies has received a $4.5 million order from an unnamed large aircraft manufacturer to develop and supply prototypes of an advanced system for the management of aircraft audio communication. Orbit provides satellite communication systems, tracking systems and audio communication management systems for aircraft.

The Orbit-supplied system is an aviation audio-management system designed for aircraft. The system is adapted to a variety of aviation applications and provides a complete solution for audio systems. It aims to leverage Orbit’s capabilities to process digital signals and provide high-quality sound, which result in higher-quality communications that improve crew performance and collaboration between crewmembers.
