[Avionics Magazine 09-20-2016] Elliott Aviation, a Beechjet 400A/Hawker 400XP authorized service center, has started their second full 400E interior retrofit that includes Garmin G5000 touch screen avionics. The facility completed its first retrofit on Sept. 12. In addition to the complete 400E package, this aircraft is receiving a two-toned paint scheme finished in pearl paints and a full landing gear overhaul.

Elliott is currently working on three more G5000 installations. The company currently has 15 Garmin G5000 installations sold. The Garmin G5000 avionics give the customer a completely new avionics system including a new Garmin autopilot. The G5000 provides the pilot and copilot with all the latest technologies and depending on options includes synthetic vision, electronic charts, XM weather, Wide Area Augmentation System Localizer with Vertical Guidance (WAAS/LPV), Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) compliance, engine indication and Multi-Function Display (MFD) range rings.

The 400E program also offers an interior upgrade, that when paired with the Garmin G5000 retrofit, increases the useful load of the aircraft of 350 pounds or more, according to Elliot. The redesigned interior includes a modernized interior shell configuration with recessed headliner, LED lighting, USB charging ports and redesigned cabinetry.
