[Avionics Today 09-08-2016] StandardAero’s Houston Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility has completed its first Controller Pilot Data Link Communications (CPDLC) and Automated Dependent Surveillance System- Broadcast (ADS-B) Out installation on a Dassault Falcon 50EX aircraft equipped with a Pro Line 21 integrated cockpit system. The work was completed in three weeks, in conjunction with a 4A+ airframe inspection that also included system upgrades for synthetic vision, Gogo Axxess Iridium and a Display Interface Unit (DIU) supporting Future Air Navigation System (FANS).

“These very complex installations are critical for our operators to comply with future mandates, while modernizing and optimizing their aircraft assets,” said Melissa Maddox, vice president and general manager of StandardAero’s Houston MRO facility.
