[Avionics Today 05-13-2016] Guardian Avionics has introduced a new flush mounting system to dock and fully integrate an iPad or iPhone into the aircraft’s instrument panel. The iFDR Panel Mount was designed by aerospace engineers to perform in the cockpit environment.
The spring actuated mounting cradle securely holds the iPad or iPhone in place during turbulence. The iFDR Panel Mount was also designed to prevent overheating. Each mount has a tapered hose/tube port built-in, allowing an operator to attach it to a standard avionics cooling fan.
