[Avionics Today 04-08-2016] Boeing released its first-quarter deliveries for 2016, reporting a 4.3 percent drop in commercial deliveries when compared to the same period last year.

The first quarter total includes 176 commercial airplanes, with the bulk of deliveries coming in from the 737 family at 121 deliveries thus far this year. The delivery rate for both the 737s and 787s remained steady when compared to the first quarter of 2015. For defense deliveries, Boeing reported just fewer than 50 rotor and fixed-wing aircraft for the quarter.
