[Avionics Today 03-22-2016] The first Airbus aircraft produced in the U.S. manufacturing facility in Mobile, Ala., which opened in September 2015, has flown for the first time. The A321, destined for JetBlue took off from the Mobile Aeroplex, performed several test sequences on the systems, engines and structure performance, and landed safely.

Following the maiden flight, Airbus will take the aircraft through a few more weeks in final production before delivering it to JetBlue.
