[Avionics Today 02-18-2016] The United States Marine Corps (USMC) Reserve has selected Universal Avionics MFD-640 Multi-Function Display (MFD) for its fleet of KC-130T aircraft. The MFD-640 supports the display of weather radar, Flight Management System (FMS) data, Terrain Awareness and Warning System (TAWS), synthetic vision, traffic, lightning and video.
The USMC awarded the contract for 32 displays to Universal Avionics industry partner Aero Dynamix, which will modify the displays for Night Vision Imaging System (NVIS) compatibility and deliver to the customer in support of their aircraft modification program.
