[Avionics Today 02-09-2016] BBA Aviation has completed the $2 billion acquisition of Landmark Aviation, a major expansion of BBA’s Signature Flight Support Fixed-Base Operator (FBO) network. The acquisition of Landmark Aviation’s aircraft management and charter division, which has 110 aircraft under management, is structured to be U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) compliant and extends the services that BBA Aviation can offer its customers.

“Our customers will benefit immensely from the substantially expanded global footprint of the Signature Flight Support network,” stated Maria Sastre, president and COO of Signature Flight Support.

Signature’s global network now numbers 195 global locations throughout North America, Europe, South America, Caribbean, Africa and Asia. The acquisition process required the divestment of six collocated FBOs.

Landmark’s aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul locations expand Signature’s existing MRO operations delivered through its Signature TechnicAir and CSE Citation Centre brands now available at 19 global locations.
