Rockwell Collins to Provide Avionics Gateway for 777X

[Avionics Today 09-28-2015] Boeing has selected Rockwell Collins to provide the avionics gateway secure server on new 777X airplanes. The avionics gateway will feature Rockwell Collins’ Secure Server Router (SSR), which enables the safe transfer of data among the flight deck, cabin crew, and airline operations on the ground.

“Next-generation aircraft will offer incredible on-board networking capabilities and aircraft makers like Boeing are investing in sophisticated, secure solutions to ensure the networks are protected from malicious threats,” said Greg Irmen, vice president and general manager of flight controls and information systems for Rockwell Collins.
 

Other Rockwell Collins systems will be present on the 777X, including the large-format flight displays, integrated surveillance with the MultiScan weather radar, select flight controls and head-up guidance system.
