[Avionics Today 07-01-2015] Rockwell Collins has announced a series of updates to its ARINCDirect Flight Operations System (FOS), including the ability to integrate with new tools and the launch of a new vendor alliance charter management program. The latest FOS release features a touch-screen user interface for tablets and smart phones, according to the company.

In addition, FOS will be integrated with Rockwell Collins’ ARINCDirect safety management tools to allow access to flight risk assessment tools. The update also grafts in fatigue risk management provided through the Pulsar Infomatics Aviation Fatigue Meter suite and the System for Aircrew Fatigue Evaluation (SAFE) tool developed by Fatigue Risk Management Science Limited. Through the updates, customers can now identify fatigue hot spots across scheduled operations, design fatigue migration strategies and view interactive data reports.
