[Avionics Today 06-30-2015] The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has approved installation of Aspen Avionics EFD1000H Primary Flight Display (PFD) into Bell and Bell/Agusta 206 models under an EASA Supplemental Type Certificate (STC).

The EFD1000H PFD is a solid-state electronic flight instrument system that provides a modern alternative to mechanical attitude indicators, directional gyros and horizontal situation indicators. The EASA approval provides a pathway for Bell 206 operators to upgrade their mechanical instruments with glass panel technology.
