[Avionics Today 03-31-2015] Northrop Grumman has selected L-3 Aviation’s Display Systems (L-3 DS) business to supply multi-function displays for a digital cockpit upgrade for the U.S. Army’s fleet of UH-60L Black Hawk helicopters. L-3 DS will provide 10.4-inch digital electronic instrument displays to bring the UH-60L to the UH-60V configuration, replacing the older analog gauges.

The Northrop Grumman system virtually replicates the newer UH-60M pilot-vehicle interface, providing a common training environment. Ultimately, L-3 DS expects to modify more than 750 aircraft under the UH-60V digital cockpit upgrade.
