[Avionics Today 03-03-2015] The Whitcraft Group has signed a 10-year, $234 million contract to supply parts and assemblies to Pratt & Whitney for the next generation PurePower Geared Turbofan (GTF) engine family. Whitcraft is the latest company to sign on to support P&W’s production ramp up. At peak production in 2020, the contract is projected to provide $30 million a year in incremental revenue to Whitcraft.

"The agreement includes UTC’s One Company terms and conditions, which allows for future collaboration through a common contracting approach between Whitcraft and UTC. As Pratt & Whitney and UTC increase capacity, One Company agreements with suppliers that continue to meet our high performance requirements such as Whitcraft will play an integral role in our scheduled production ramp," said David Emmerling, vice president of strategic sourcing at Pratt & Whitney.
