[Avionics Today 02-20-2015] ForeFlight, a company that provides iPhone and iPad applications for pilots, has announced Wi-Fi connectivity between its ForeFlight Mobile 6.7 app and the Dynon Avionics Skyview system.

The integration with Dynon expands the ForeFlight Connect capability — a set of features that allow the app to connect to portable and installed avionics to enable capabilities such as flight plan transfer, Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) weather and data-driven maps, among others.

The app can now send and receive flight plans on the ground and in the air and can receive SkyView Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS) GPS and Attitude and Heading Reference System (AHRS) data to feed Synthetic Vision (SV) and a moving map display.
